The WL Toys v959 3 axis version (6 axis now available) is a fun quadcopter. It shares a few parts with the v929. The lcd transmitter has added functions, such as buttons to activate the camera and various optional attachments, and for flipping. The motors are more powerful. The canopy is very eye catching. It's a bit of a handful indoors. Like in the v929, the 3 axis gyro, with no self levelling, requires you to fly and maintain control at all times which is good practice before moving up to a flybarless fixed pitch or collective pitch helicopter.

 

The transmitter has an lcd display with 40-60-80-100% rates. Flipping is activated by setting to 100% rates, press and hold the flip button, and move Ail or Ele to max position. The weight and momentum of this heavy ship require special handling. Large stick movements are needed to get it moving and also to reign it back in. That is probably why the minimum rate is 40%.

 

The 500mah battery is a common type, easy to find. There are bright white led headlights and red tail-lights.
