The WL Toys v929 is a good but not spectacular quadcopter. It is, however, good value for the price. The 3 axis gyro, with no self levelling, requires you to fly and maintain control at all times which is good practice before moving up to a flybarless fixed pitch or collective pitch helicopter.

 

The transmitter has an lcd display with 20-40-60-100% rates at the press of a button. At 100% rates, moving AIL or ELE to full stick will initiate a flip automatically. This makes it difficult to fly on more than 60% rates, although that rate provides plenty of speed. The 500mah battery is a common type, easy to find. There are no led's.

 

The newer v222 6 axis quad is an update of the v929.
