The Walkera QR-V1 is a very well built and stable quadcopter. The 6 axis gyro and accelerometer control system provides self levelling in normal mode while allowing flips in acro mode. The motors are smooth and have more than enough power. Flight characteristics are very predictable and easy to fly. The telemetry function provides battery voltage to be displayed on your transmitter, although use of this functions does shorten flight times somewhat. Firmware can be updated. Parts are readily available from numerous suppliers and quite inexpensive.

 

The one drawback to the QR-V1 is that applying aileron will cancel out, or limit, some rudder movement, making it very difficult to fly banked turns. This is supposedly tuned out in the newest firmware release. Stay tuned for that . . .
