The Nine Eagles 228p (p = plastic) is a 200 size fixed pitch flybarred helicopter. Flight characteristics in stock form require somewhat careful handling at higher speeds as the limits can be exceeded quickly. In a straight line it flys very, very fast. But high speed banked turns can result in a washout and crash. I added an Xtreme aluminum swashplate and flybar which improved high speed turns quite a bit. Also, by lowering the canopy, flybar strikes are reduced. The 228p is very stable in hover and moderate speed flight. The sound from the electric shaft driven tail is very unique. All in all, a very nice helicopter, good size and visibility, and decent handling for the sport style flyer. Exceeding it's handling limits will result in crashes with typical damage such as bent flybar, damaged rear shaft gears, and broken skids. Parts are inexpensive and easy to change.
