The Esky Honey Bee v2 (HBFPv2)was my first attempt at stepping up to a higher difficulty level. This large size fixed pitch heli has a 90 degree flybar which provides a large amount of movement authority. Difficulty level is high, even hovering takes a lot of practice, as the heli moves so quickly that I was always chasing it rather than flying it.

 

Several years ago the HBFPv2 was the standard for learning, and once mastered, it prepared you for flying any cp helicopter.

 

I did not keep it long enough to do much more than hover briefly. Now (2015) that I have flybarless fixed pitch and basic cp experience, I might have better flying experience with it. But when the MJX-F45 came out, I sold the Honey Bee and never looked back.

Parts are difficult to find and quit expensive. Repairs are pretty straight forward with a  basic level of exprience.
